We are looking for Domain Engineer to join our fast-paced start-up environment to apply your expertise and knowledge to develop, design, and implement solutions at ADI.
Responsibilities
- Be a Subject Matter Expert for power generation in terms of its data transformation and roadmap. This includes understanding the asset lifecycle activities and opportunities within to help drive .
- Be a bridge to existing power generation experts from the customer’s side and
provide functional requirement explanations as well as guidance into outcomes for the different businesses. - Provide valuable insights in helping achieve business outcomes through a
data-centric approach and application of asset management, reliability engineering and performance optimization. - Support pre-sales workshops, demos, proofs of concepts, evaluations, and
benchmarks. Identify technical hurdles early in the sales cycle and work to overcome any objections using available resources - Assist in the functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFQs and be able to respond quickly, while subsequently working on the solution mapping
- Contribute to the development of new product demonstrations and proof of concepts adapting to customers and their operating environments
- Contribute to the future strategy definition and further develop our pre-sales
approach by strengthening our value proposition - Develop solution designs and architectures for these solutions and write necessary documentations in support of this. This includes working with stakeholders to understand their requirements, and developing detailed designs that meet those requirements.
- Scope out and refine project designs in close collaboration with the technical delivery team. This includes working with the technical delivery team to ensure that the project designs are feasible and can be delivered on time and within budget.
- Challenge the status quo. This includes being willing to question existing
assumptions and propose new ways of doing things. - Propose simplification for existing processes - identifying areas where existing
processes can be simplified to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The domain
engineer should also be able to develop and implement solutions to simplify existing processes. - Be a thought leader on AI and tech solutions developed to facilitate and operate on power generation context. This includes staying up-to-date on the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and computational methods; and developing new ideas for how these can be used to improve the reliability and efficiency of the core generation assets.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops focused on Power BI
Requirements:
- Background in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or any applied
engineering/science courses - Masters Level Preferred
- CRE or CMRP certifications preferred
- At least 5 years of Experience working in the Plant environment, preferably in
multiple industries, to understand the project life cycle for Industrial data acquisition and processing. - Proficient in SQL, Python and PowerBI/Looker Studio
- At least 1 year experience with Industrial Data Platforms (e.g. APM, AVEVA PRISM, Plant Historians, DCS/SCADA).
- Demonstrated intent to learn Machine Learning and other AI technologies.
- Be focused on learning AI and leverage our Data Science team to help in building a deep understanding of how AI will work in the industrial space. Participate in
different initiatives representing the data side and become involved externally in
events and talks educating about Industrial AI and its use cases. - Be a motivated, curious learner, humble to adopt new directions and learn new
concepts and a great collaborator across Aboitiz Group and ADI - Speak Cebuano or Bisaya is a plus
