The roll doffer will be responsible for removing rolls from the weaving machinery and replacing them with empty ones. Essentially doffing the finished rolls of fabric to maintain continuous production on the machine. This role requires skills and attention to detail to ensure proper replacement and quality control.
DESCRIPTION
- Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the plant
- Conduct the procedure of removing the roll once the loom reaches the 8,000 meters.
- Loading empty bobbins onto the weaving machine to continue the weaving process once the full roll is removed.
- Comply with safety procedures for crane handling.
- Scan, print, and label finished product accurately.
- Responsible for quality inspection of the fabric before doffing.
- Conduct a daily production report using labels and weight.
- Comply with all company policies, including safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
- Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adherent to all relevant regulations and company policies regarding equipment operation and safety standards
- Conduct other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Competence in operating basic tools and measuring devices (e.g., tape measure, scale).
- Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
