Job Description:

  • Pay Type: Hourly/Paid Weekly
  • Hourly Pay: $26.00/hr + based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Experience in food and/or dietary supplement industry is preferred
  • Experience with quality systems is preferred
  • Experience in safe food practices and certifications are preferred.
  • Position will coordinate supplier approval, materials and specification reviews, production quality, and other production controls responsibilities

Summary

The Document Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and administering quality system documentation and records to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role manages specifications, item setup, bills of materials (BOMs), master manufacturing records (MMRs), change controls, deviations, and material disposition documentation, while coordinating supplier documentation, supporting internal audits, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the quality management system.

Essential Functions

  • Creates and maintains quality system documentation and records, including specifications, item number creation, bills of materials (BOMs), master manufacturing records (MMRs), change controls, deviations, and material disposition forms.
  • Works with customers and purchasing to collect supplier documents
  • Assists with internal audits

Additional Responsibilities

  • May perform other duties as assigned by Quality management
  • May assist with customer complaints and corrective actions
  • Performs other duties as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written, Required
  • Ability to make decisions (good judgment), manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and interface effectively with customers and internal staff, Required

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/GED, Required
  • 3 years or more in QA/Document Control experience in the food and/or dietary supplement industry, Preferred
  • Skilled using Microsoft Word and Excel Beginner, Required

Compensation Information:
