Job responsibilities 

  • Proactively set daily operational priorities, assign work, and coordinate coverage to meet service expectations.
  • Consistently establish and run day-to-day operating routines, including start-of-shift planning, workload balancing, handoffs, and end-of-day status review.
  • Diligently manage workforce coverage and short-term resource planning by coordinating shift schedules and anticipating peak periods.
  • Effectively deploy cross-trained resources to protect SLAs and escalate staffing or operational risks as needed.
  • Accurately identify capacity constraints and maintain disciplined execution and controls compliance.
  • Directly manage team performance by setting expectations, providing ongoing coaching, delivering feedback, and applying corrective action when required.
  • Reliably reinforce a culture of engagement and accountability by addressing performance gaps and ensuring team members are trained and equipped.
  • Thoroughly ensure compliance and audit readiness by reinforcing standard work, documentation discipline, and control checks.
  • Promptly own escalation and incident management by triaging operational issues, coordinating response, and ensuring closure through corrective actions and documentation updates.
  • Strategically lead operational change and continuous improvement by implementing process updates, communicating outcomes, and reinforcing adoption through daily routines.
  • Actively develop Team Leads and emerging talent by delegating stretch assignments, providing coaching, and building readiness for broader responsibility.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior people leadership experience in an operations environment, including direct supervision or acting supervisor/team lead responsibilities.
  • Experience with coaching, coverage coordination, and performance management practices.
  • Experience operating within controlled environments where quality, information security, and compliance are integral to daily work.
  • Ability to appropriately escalate issues, maintain documentation discipline, and demonstrate audit readiness behaviors.
  • Advanced frontline leadership capability, including setting clear expectations, coaching and developing employees, and managing performance through recognition and corrective action.
  • Ability to plan and manage day-to-day coverage and workflow execution, including prioritization.
