What does a successful Software Development Engineering - Advisor do? At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering - Advisor I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

Justification: The DNA ATM team is responsible for the support and development of MPI and Concert gateways, which manage all credit and debit card transactions between our Card Issuers and DNA Core banking platform. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of these transaction processes, directly impacting client satisfaction and operational excellence.

What you will do:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience with Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL databases.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent military experience.
• 6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

• 6+ years of experience in the financial services industry.

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
• You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
• This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.

Salary Range

$146,000.00 - $244,800.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
