As a DMS Systems Project Specialist, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-impact initiatives that support our growing business—ranging from system migrations and acquisitions to integrations and go-live implementations. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with internal teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure projects are executed efficiently and successfully.
Location: Remote - West Coast
Travel: Up to 25%
Compensation Range: $60,000-$85,000 - Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met
- Lead project planning sessions and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
- Act as the primary liaison with vendors, building strong, productive partnerships
- Review and validate vendor contracts, pricing, and services, ensuring accuracy and accountability
- Configure and validate system settings for successful go-live execution
- Provide clear, audience-tailored communication across stakeholders
- Deliver regular status updates and reporting on project progress
- Support on-site go-live activities to ensure smooth implementation and adoption
- Identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and blockers to keep projects on track
- Drive process improvements, including automation and documentation enhancements
- Maintain a holistic view of project issues, ensuring timely resolution and follow-through
- Travel as needed for planning, training, and implementation activities
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–5 years of project coordination, planning, or implementation experience
- Experience in automotive or DMS platforms (CDK)
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft 365, and automation tools
- Exposure to HTML, SQL, or basic scripting/programming (preferred)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive mindset with a sense of urgency and accountability
