Pay Range

$115,300.00-$158,500.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.   Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. 

As a Division Process Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across nine manufacturing facilities including 26 production lines, ensuring consistent performance, sustained operations, strong culture, and alignment with division and corporate priorities.

You will:

  • Support 9 Insulation Systems Facilities
  • Work with plant leadership to maintain consistency of fiberizer operation within established parameters for stable, safe and best overall JM cost position
  • Must master and apply engineering discipline and fiberization system knowledge in difficult tradeoffs, including keeping plants on target, eliminating unsuitable differences, and reducing process variation
  • Provided periodic training and development of process engineers/techs/operators including knowledge on highly proprietary material
  • Monitor Key Process Indicator (KPI) trends and work closely with division product management on meeting Critical to Quality (CTQ) items
  • Identify and implement division productivity opportunities
  • Support Capital Project (CAPEX) implementation as division process Subject Matter Expert (SME) and work closely with controls engineering on instrumentation
  • Lead monthly calls with division process leads
  • Complete regular plant visits/audits, report to plant and division leadership issues and work with plant to correct actionable issues
  • Support on production/quality issues where needed
  • Collaborate with R&D Process Technology on regulating disc drill patterns and alloy quality, as well as hardware improvement/designs
  • Work with Tucson on critical fiberization spares supply
  • Update division leadership on key metrics, as needed
  • Performing business analysis (costs, risks, benefits, system changes, etc.) of any viable, considered options
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational discipline.

  • Plants operate safely, stably and efficiently, with best overall JM product cost position
  • Plant process engineers, technicians and operators are running fiberization processes correctly, stably and efficiently
  • Improvement projects are identified, prioritized and completed annually
  • Process leaders are developed and empowered at the plant level.
  • Expansion and CAPEX projects are led and supported as the Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Strong partnerships exist between division engineering, R&D and operational plants
  • Division Process Techs are enabled and deployed where needed to support objectives

What You Bring

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Strong preference will be given to those with advanced technical degrees
  • 5+ years of manufacturing process experience.
  • Experience working with complex, multi-physics systems.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Deep knowledge of complex manufacturing processes related to fiberization.
  • Strong Six Sigma and statistical analysis background, with focus on SPC and process analysis techniques, including Design of Experiments (DOE), large process regressions, and similar.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD), including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Working capabilities with Power BI, Aveva or Advanced Analytics in developing and maintaining dashboards and report for Key Process Indicators (KPI) and process trend diagnostics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with Minitab statistical software.

People Leadership

  • Leads and develops a cross-functional teams of hourly and salaried employees between IS Engineering, R&D, and IS Division.

Work Environment

  • Office‑based or plant-based with regular time spent in manufacturing environments.  Hybrid work from home up to 2 days per week, depending on activity
  • Moderate travel required, 25-35% throughout the year, depending on projects and plant support
  • Exposure to plant conditions such as heat, cold, noise, moving equipment, dust, fumes, and physical activity.
