Financial Controlling & Management Division is in charge of Matters concerning accounting, expense control, financial and regulatory reporting, taxation, management reporting, as well as planning and analysis.
In Financial Controlling & Management division, this positions mission is:
 (1) daily transaction recording and accounting, (2) financial and regulatory reporting, (3) tax management and reporting, (4) internal control over financial reporting, (5) financial planning and budget control, and (6) financial analysis and reporting to senior management.  The position holder is required to demonstrate the professionalism at work in striking an appropriate balance between complying with the various financial accounting and regulatory requriements in reporting the actuals to external stakeholders such as the public, regulators, and tax authorities, and providing relevant and insightful financial analysis of both historical and forward-looking nature to key internal stakeholders such as local senior leaders, Management Team, and Group head office.  The position holder needs to maximize collaboration across teams, influence and encourage people to drive good changes and to support their development.

Job Description

1) Provide leadership and managerial direction for; 
- Monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing in a controlled manner to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial figures to be reported internally and externally.
- Resolutions of accounting, reporting and tax issues arising out of new initiatives of the company and/or resolving various issues when arises.
- Reporting activities, including local financial reporting and management reporting, with insightful information such as business trend, company strategy, market trend and forward looking analysis.
-Responsible for payment operation and in charge of payment execution to customers, agencies, vendors, employees and NN group and invoice handling
- Engaging external auditors, regulators, and tax authorities in an appropriate manner while defending the company's financial interests where necessary.
- End to end expense control from accounting to management, by handshaking and building strong relationship with various people outside of Finance.
- Strategic insights to senior management via financial planning activities, including building up storyline, strategy update, supporting sales target set up, expense target, etc.
- Transforming finance processes and controls including enhancement and efficiency improvement of processes including automation.
- Active participation of companywide projects and programs with financial and reporting impact, e.g. products, information systems, payment and receipts, new sales outlets.

- Build teams and develop individuals with potential for further growth looking after their career development
- Empower team members to improve the ownership and productivity and to maximize the teams' performance
- Manage expectation of vast internal and external stakeholders about financial and regulatory reporting, taxation, management analysis including planning and forecasts.

・Experience in accounting, planning&analysis, consulting, auditing or a similar field in Financial/Insurance Industry
・Good understanding of life insurance financial matters
・Extensive working experience (more than five years) in accounting, financial controlling or financial analysis and planning function in a managerial and leadership position
・Possesses technical expertise – knowledge of accounting rules (JGAAP, IFRS), Tax and various regulations of insurance business
・Has good soft skills such as problem solving, time management, people management, leadership capability
・Good understanding of actuarial knowledge, expense management and management reporting
・Strong mind set of process improvement and transformation
・Experience as a project and program lead managing mid to long term process change
・Must be bilingual (English and Japanese)
・Good understanding of accounting processes and of internal controls
・Exceptional financial, strategic thinking, analytical skills and negotiation skill
