The Role:
A Data Steward is a global, functional role in data management and governance, who is responsible for ensuring that data policies and standards turn into practice within each domain and cross functional team. A domain is identified as Customer, Material, Vendor, and Finance. Data Stewards assist Entegris in leveraging domain data assets to full capacity. A Data Steward is also responsible for the management of data created, maintained, and stored at Entegris.
Simply put, the data steward is considered the data expert or “go to” person for everyone who works with data at Entegris. The data steward knows how the processes are used to collect and maintain data, and how quality rules and standards are used to determine its health. They also collaborate and act as a liaison to each cross functional department to contribute to the overall accuracy and efficiency of data, orders, and invoices. They adopt the motto of “first time right”. The job revolves around, but is not limited to, the following questions:

What functions does this data support at Entegris?

How should this data be changed to align with current corporate change controls?

What rules is Entegris using to ensure & measure data quality, accuracy and efficiency and is there better ways to achieve this?

From a project perspective, what role does data play?

What KPI’s and reporting would add value to the organization and the customer experience?
In this role you will:
-
Provide Master Data Management (MDM) process support to ensure all locations within the Division are following global processes, and monitors data quality metrics through regular meetings.

Support definition, implementation and communication of global data processes and standards.
-
Responsible for understanding end-to-end data flows and identifying data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management.

Monitor the master data process flows and work with users to improve lead time and suggest efficiency improvements
-
Primary point of contact for master data and workflow questions
-
Follow through with data change and improvement requests
-
Responsible for data quality and data accuracy across all Divisional delivery initiatives.

Execute standard quality assurance reports to ensure data stays fit for running the business
-
Responsible for testing master data changes.

Propose actions to improve data quality level.

Responsible for supporting the Global technology, tools, resources and processes required to create and maintain consistent and accurate master data throughout the Division.

Provide day-to-day support of Data Governance business processes, and SAP applications to the Divisional User community.

Provide informal one-on-one training for users as well as formal group training in existing Data Governance functionality and processes. Extract, Transform and Load data into ERP systems (direct input or using templates)

Continuous Improvement (CI) projects where master data is involved –

Materials Management & Planning Process standardization across Division,

Utilize Global Resource

Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by understanding Global Data Governance processes, and divisional needs.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, data analytics, or other applicable degree.

Knowledge of Change Management and Data Governance processes in an ERP environment.

Knowledge of SAP Master Data elements including Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, BOMs, Routings, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) functionality, and Workflow.

Demonstrated expertise with MS Office applications including Excel expertise.

Proven track record of academic and professional achievement.
