Position Summary: The Distribution Support Specialist will be an integral part of our distribution group with regards to warehouse/office organization and material flow. They also play a key role in ensuring the completion of tasks related to our 3PL partners.The Distribution Support Specialist is responsible for the analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to implement warehouse improvement and reorganization solutions in current and future warehouse, fulfillment, and distribution operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Use of available software and warehouse management tools to propose and implement warehouse/office improvements and reorganizations to improve material flow and warehouse utilization.
• Ensures completion of day-to-day completion of tasks related with 3PL partners.
• Purchasing and sourcing warehouse materials to help build efficiencies in all Leaf Home warehouses
• Using warehousing transport devices like a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, stand-up, or sit-down high lift/tow motor to safely transport material.
• Organizing or consolidating warehouse material or product to create space and cleanly and effectively capture overstock inventory.
• Assembly of pallet racking, or other warehouse-related projects as needed or directed.
• Advises the Distribution Support Supervisor on any pertinent information that would inhibit the flow of daily fulfillment both in the Distribution Center and Field Offices
• Assists in other departments as needed within the warehouse and/or performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years in a Warehouse related role or position.
  • Tow motor or material transport experience.
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Good communication, organizational, time management and basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without "dropping the ball."
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a "roll up your sleeves" and "win every day" mentality.
  • Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
  • Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
  • Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:

  • Experience in a large fast-paced organization.


Travel Requirements:

  • 25%-50% domestic travel required.


Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:

  • Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).


Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Field Office/Manufacturing/Construction environment.
  • Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment and outside work in verying temperatures and climates.
  • Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
