Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Distribution Shipping Supervisor manages, leads, and coordinates warehouse staff to deliver extraordinary results. Functional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to receiving, packing, cycle counting, and shipping DISH inventory to support organizational goals and objectives. Safety compliance, quality awareness, process efficiency, and employee satisfaction are key performance metrics. Duties are accomplished personally or through subordinate supervisory staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Makes timely, well-informed decisions, based on available information to achieve organizational goals and objectives related to safety, quality, and productivity
- Works effectively with internal and external customers to identify needs, meet or exceed expectations, and implement change as necessary to be # 1 in customer satisfaction
- Provides clear and accurate communication to direct reports, peers, and upper management to provide direction, share information, and achieve results
- Ensures clear and consistent administration of organizational policies and procedures. Positively represents the organization and supports company decisions
- Responsible for identifying, hiring, and retaining qualified staff. This includes training, providing feedback, and evaluating employee performance regularly
- Evaluate, develop, and implement process-related procedures to maintain flexibility in the face of changing circumstances
- Utilizes company resources effectively and is accountable for results. Sets reasonable goals and measures results Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position
Weekly Shedule Requirements:
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field plus 3+ years of related experience and/or training preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year previous experience using a computer
Skills:
- Ability to manage all personnel decisions (hiring, performance appraisals, terminations, etc.) in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of peers or employees of organization Intermediate computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications. Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a standard office and warehouse environment
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $54,650.00/Year - $78,100.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
