We are seeking a highly skilled Distributed Computing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with distributed computing frameworks, particularly Ray and Yellowdog. This role will focus on leveraging Ray to scale compute-intensive Python workloads and enhance our distributed computing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage distributed computing solutions using Ray and Yellowdog.
- Develop and optimize Python applications to run efficiently on distributed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate distributed computing solutions into existing workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot distributed computing environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on best practices for distributed computing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Ray, including deployment and management of Ray clusters.
- Strong knowledge of HPC tools for job scheduling and resource management.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with Conda for package management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of other distributed computing frameworks and tools.
