We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as Dispatcher. This position reports to the Profit Centre Manager assisting in the efficient and cost-effective coordination of drivers for the collection and delivery of goods, ensuring that accurate records are maintained for all stock movements. The Dispatcher will adhere to financial and administrative systems and procedures to promote the smooth operation of the department, aiming to exceed customer expectations.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensure the proper and prompt handling of all customer invoices.
  • Receive and deliver stock.                                                                                   
  • Ensure the security of stock against pilferage.
  • Establish effective communications and working relationships with internal and external customers, monitoring and checking regularly through after sales follow-up to ensure that they are satisfied, and that complaints and inquiries are resolved in a timely manner, with the objective being to generate further sales.  
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including routes, times, and any incidents that occur.
  • Ensure that all deliveries comply with relevant regulations and company policies, including safety standards.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff, drivers, and management to ensure smooth logistics operations.                                                                                                          

Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related designation.
  • Two (2) years’ experience at a supervisory level in the Building Supplies business or a related field.
