What does this internship consists in?
Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (#DISCOVER) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.
You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to DISCOVER the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.
The start of the internship will be in early October 2025, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant Internship Job Description:

Activities during the internship:
By joining this internship in Airbus Defense and Space Electronic Warfare Department the intern will focus on exploring new methods to improve our A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) platform survivability and during their missions. The main objective is to investigate the enhancement of pilots situational awareness (SA) through processing of data provided by available and future sensors/effectors. Additionally, to support in the development and integration of additional capabilities to protect the platform against radar threats.
The key responsibilities will be:
- Integrate the dataset available into the existing HMI (3ATI, mission console, On-board information terminals), providing a meaningful common operational picture, overlapping if needed additional useful mission information provided by other systems.
- Explore the capabilities of data analysis and image recognition (e.g. automatic detection of interesting events, data fusion, collaborative functions...).
- Support the develoment and integration of additional capabilities (RWR and countermeasures dispensing system)
This internship offers the opportunity to work in the Electronic Warfare area to contribute for safer and more effective military operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Recently graduates/Master students in Aeronautical Engineering/Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of Computer Vision Algorithms
- Skills in data visualization and statistical analysis is desired.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- English: negotiation level
- Spanish: negotiation level.
- Team spirit and great collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in complex and international environments.
