The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Discipline Product Engineer (DPE) to join our product Portfolio Management team. The DPE will play a crucial role in managing the lifecycle, require-ments, configuration, and roadmap for the solutions in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. This role is em-bedded within the Engineering function, ensuring close collaboration to deliver business relevance. Location is Chennai, India.
How you’ll make an impact
· You will be overall technical responsibility for the integration of Series Compensation plant design.
· Translate market and engineering needs into Product Requirement Specifications into Base Solu-tion and drive the roadmap in coordination with the Global Product Manager and Global Product Specialist.
· Managing the lifecycle of the Base Solution/product reference solution, configuration and tools and Support and integrate new technical solutions in close cooperation with R&D.
· Ensure documentation, technical descriptions, and user guidelines are current, accessible, and complete.
· Monitor and coordinate feedback-driven improvements within their own discipline but also across teams.
· Align and coordinate work cross-functionally within the different engineering disciplines
· Provide guidance in tenders/projects and ensure knowledge transfer across the global Electro-Mechanical team.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
· Hold Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or similar experience gained in other businesses.
· 8+ years of experience in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, plant design within Power Systems modularization of engineering products, standardization, within FACTS or similar business
· Good technical knowledge and experience within FACTS in most of the technical aspects and un-derstanding impact on other engineering disciplines.
· Calculation and design tools (REVIT, Inventor, SolidWorks), PLM system (Siemens team center or similar).
· Strong communication, collaboration and leadership abilities.
· The ability to take a holistic view
· Experience working with diverse and cross-functional teams.
· Proven experience in product management is highly desirable.
· Strategic and operational mindset with a focus on business productivity and efficiency.
· Fluency in English both written and spoken.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years experience in Electro-Mechanical Engineering and plant design within power systems modularization, standardization (FACTS or similar)
- Strong technical knowledge and experience within FACTS and understanding of multi-discipline impacts
- Proficiency with calculation and design tools: REVIT, Inventor, SolidWorks

- Proven experience in product management
