As the Disbursement Operations Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely support for stakeholders in our financial processes. With deep expertise in operations, you’ll guide and coach our team, helping embed new processes while optimizing existing ones. You’ll bring a detail-oriented approach to support world-class service delivery and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of financial processes specific to charitable foundations.
- Lead 1-2 major projects to develop, implement, and optimize scalable protocols and processes.
- Conduct process analysis and optimization to improve efficiency and accuracy, ensuring documentation is kept up-to-date.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on financial disbursement processes, identifying potential opportunities and risks.
- Monitor payment failures, identify trends, and escalate issues to leadership as necessary.
- Triage and assign incoming inquiries through Jira to ensure timely and efficient action.
- Train and coach team members on existing and new processes, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
- Track operational metrics, following up as needed to achieve targets and meet goals.
- Identify and remove process barriers as the team progresses through development cycles.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven leadership or coaching experience.
- A results-driven, proactive, and resourceful mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Expertise in identifying business problems and mapping them to complex technical solutions.
- Strong commitment to client success and operational efficiency.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with a commitment to resolving a variety of issues.
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong Excel skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker is an asset
- Team-oriented with a fun, positive spirit.
