Job SummaryProvides senior‑level support for Mountain America Credit Union’s technical disaster recovery (DR) programs. Applies subject‑matter knowledge to support program execution, perform diverse analyses, and enhance DR preparedness. Collaborates closely with IT Leadership, technical teams, and Risk/BCP partners to align DR processes with strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.

SCHEDULE

Full time

To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully.

  •  Apply knowledge to implement DR programs and improve methodologies, documentation, and technical processes.
  •  Analyze data to produce summarized insights supporting DR program decisions.
  •  Support program delivery through practical application of discipline knowledge with limited guidance.
  •  Conduct disaster recovery exercises and dependency assessments with broad scope and complexity.
  •  Lead portions or entire DR exercises, document results, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  •  Evaluate unique environments and assist in developing stronger technical and procedural recommendations.
  •  Support testing of advanced backup and recovery technologies.
  •  Contribute to organizational capacity through strong collaboration and mentoring of peers.
  •  Communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 6+ years of years experience working in business-critical datacenter environments including experience with both application and infrastructure support, engineering, operations, or disaster recovery
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree a plus.

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

  • DR/BC industry certifications preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Thorough understanding and application of DR technologies (backup, replication, hypervisors, load balancers, failover methodology).
  • Advanced knowledge of datacenter environments and IT infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux OS.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are helpful, along with diagramming software such as Visio or Lucidchart.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to handle diverse complexity and scope.
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with disaster recovery technologies including backup, storage replication, hypervisor replication and load balancers. This also includes application-level failover methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of preparing summarized program‑level insights.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while seeking guidance for highly complex issues.
