Position Summary
(DR) Architect designs, implements, and continuously matures Brands ' enterprise disaster recovery program across its hybrid application portfolio including SAP on-premises data centers, and cloud environments. This role works with technical leaders in Infrastructure to architect backup, replication, and recovery strategies, and translates that architecture into actionable runbooks, inventories, and executive-level reporting.

This role works with technical leaders in Infrastructure to architect backup, replication, and recovery strategies, and translates that architecture into actionable runbooks, inventories, and executive-level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and maintain DR architecture and recovery strategies across heterogeneous platforms (on-prem databases, SAP, cloud infrastructure, and business-critical applications such as SCADA and MobileFrame) . Own and evolve enterprise DR runbooks, including procedure tables, escalation paths, and recovery time/point objectives (RTO/RPO).
• Design and maintain DR architecture and recovery strategies across heterogeneous platforms (on-prem databases, SAP, cloud infrastructure, and business-critical applications such as SCADA and MobileFrame) . Own and evolve enterprise DR runbooks, including procedure tables, escalation paths, and recovery time/point objectives (RTO/RPO).
• Assess and document backup landscape coverage across tools such as Cohesity and Azure Backup/Veeam, identifying gaps and driving remediation plans
• Build and maintain detailed technical inventories (application, database, and infrastructure dependencies) to support recovery planning and audit readiness.
• Partner with database, infrastructure, and application teams to validate recovery procedures through regular DR testing and tabletop exercises
• Track legacy platform risk (e-g- unsupported database versions) and drive modernization or compensating controls
• Define and enforce DR standards, policies, and governance across the application portfolio.
• Serve as a technical escalation point during actual DR events or failover exercises
Required Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup platforms (Cohesity, Veeam, Azure Backup, or equivalent)

• Strong knowledge of database recovery strategies across at least one major RDBMS (Oracle, SOL Server)
• Experience supporting DR for SAP or other large-scale ERP environments
• Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises data centers and cloud (Azure preferred)
• Ability to translate complex technical detail into clear executive communication
• Strong documentation discipline - runbooks, inventories, dependency mapping

• Experience with manufacturing, industrial, or SCADA/OT environments
