Job Description

The Role: The Director/Manager, Capital Markets will be responsible for leading all aspects of treasury and capital markets activities, including equity, convertible debt, and preferred equity offerings. This role involves working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to execute financing initiatives, optimize the balance sheet, and maintain compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will possess experience in capital markets, structured financings, investment banking, private equity, or public equity investing, with a deep interest in and understanding of bitcoin.

In-Office Position: At Strategy, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-office days with Fridays as work-from-home. 

Your Focus: 

• Lead and execute capital raising initiatives, including equity, debt, and preferred equity instruments.
• Drive strategy and analysis for balance sheet optimization, including liability management and capital allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Investor Relations, to support financing transactions and related activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other capital markets participants to support funding initiatives.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify capital markets trends and opportunities aligned with the company’s bitcoin treasury strategy.
• Support bitcoin analysis and compliance with company digital asset policies, audits, and reporting initiatives.
• Provide insights and recommendations on innovative financing structures to optimize the company’s capital strategy.
• Prepare detailed financial models, investor presentations, and management reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Act as a key representative for capital markets discussions in investor meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with relevant Finance work experience.
• Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, public equity investing, or a similar role.
• MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced financial qualification preferred.
• Proven track record of executing capital raising activities, including equity and debt transactions.
• Advanced understanding of capital markets concepts, financial modeling, and corporate finance principles. Experience with convertible debt financing and preferred equity financing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and experience building complex financial models.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong interest and/or experience with bitcoin and digital assets.
• Familiarity with the software industry and SaaS business models is a plus.
• Experience with Bloomberg, Factset, Kynex, and equivalent financial tools is preferred.
