Qualification                : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field; a postgraduate management qualification is an advantage.

Experience                  : 15+ years (minimum 5 years in leadership role)

About The Role:

The GIC Enterprise Solutions team has reached critical mass. With more than 50 active professionals across multiple capability areas, it is now evolving from a model in which individual businesses engage resources into a capability center that delivers projects and outcomes through dedicated and/or shared capability pods. This role leads that transformation and serves as the single point of contact for every Marmon business that engages the GIC for technology solutions delivery.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Solution delivery leader to establish and run the GIC's capability center. You will own the front door for demand arriving from Marmon's business groups, translate that demand into scoped, estimated and prioritized work, and orchestrate delivery through capability pods spanning enterprise applications, security operations, data and analytics (and infrastructure and end-user services,). Equally important, you will build the commercial discipline that makes the model credible: a clear view of cost to serve, and clear evidence of the value returned to the businesses and to Corporate. The role reports jointly to GIC leadership in Bengaluru and to Corporate Information Technology for functional direction. This is a role for someone who has run outcome-based delivery before and can bring that discipline into a captive environment without losing the trust of the businesses it serves.

Key Responsibilities

Single Point of Contact for Marmon IT Demand

•        Serve as the single, accountable point of contact for all Marmon businesses engaging the GIC for application, data, and solution delivery services, from initial engagement through delivery and ongoing support.

•        Run a structured intake and triage process: qualify incoming demand, clarify scope and outcomes, size the effort, and set realistic expectations on timing and capacity.

•        Prioritize competing demand across business groups transparently, using agreed criteria rather than order of arrival or relationship pressure.

•        Make it fast and straightforward for any Marmon business to engage the GIC, with short lead times and a repeatable path for commonly requested capabilities.

•        Build trusted relationships with group IT leaders and business stakeholders, acting as their advocate inside the GIC and as the GIC's advocate with them.

Outcome-Based Delivery Across Capability Pods

•        Deliver work as defined projects and measurable outcomes, with clear scope, milestones and acceptance criteria agreed upfront with the business.

•        Own the compliance and governance from cyber security perspective for all the solutions delivered out of GIC.

•        Own delivery governance across the capability pods, including estimation discipline, delivery reviews, risk and dependency management, and escalation paths that resolve issues before they reach the business.

•        Define and hold service levels for both run and build work, distinguishing what a support engagement guarantees from what a project commits to.

•        Allocate resources across pods to balance utilization against responsiveness, planning capacity and absorbed downtime as a deliberate part of the operating rhythm.

•        Establish delivery KPIs and a reporting cadence that give the businesses and Corporate an honest view of throughput, quality and predictability.

Commercial Model and Value Transparency

•        Own the commercial framework for GIC-delivered solutions and capabilities, ensuring clear pricing, transparent cost allocation, and billing based on actual effort and consumption.

•        Provide transparent cost-to-serve reporting so that businesses have a clear view of what they are investing and the value they receive in return.

•        Build business case discipline into new engagements: expected benefit, expected cost, and the basis on which success will be judged.

•        Track and communicate value delivered, including savings, avoided cost, reduced cycle time, and capability built inside Marmon rather than rented from outside.

•        Partner with Corporate Finance and GIC leadership on annual planning, forecasting, and capacity investment decisions.

Leadership and Capability Building

•        Design and stand up the pod structure itself, defining each pod's charter, skills profile, leadership and growth path.

•        Develop pod leads into accountable delivery owners, and create clear career progression that improves retention across the GIC.

•        Build core internal skillsets in the areas Marmon has chosen to own, reducing dependence on external vendors for repeatable work.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

•        A published intake and triage process is in use by business groups engaging the GIC for solution delivery services.

•        Capability pods are formally defined, staffed and led, with charters agreed by Corporate IT and GIC leadership.

•        Initial cohort of engagements has been delivered on an outcome basis rather than as resource allocation, with documented results.

•        Utilization, throughput and delivery quality are measured against a baseline established.

•        Businesses receive actuals-based cost reporting they trust, and the lead time to engage the GIC has measurably fallen.

Mandatory Skills

•        15+ years of experience leading application and solution delivery initiatives, including a substantial period in application services, solution delivery, or systems integration environments managing outcome-based and managed services engagements.

•        Demonstrated ownership of delivery commercials, covering estimation, cost to serve, and accountability for budget performance.

•        Proven breadth across multiple technology towers, sufficient to govern enterprise applications, security operations, data and analytics, without leading any of them hands-on.

•        Senior stakeholder management in a decentralized, multi-business enterprise, including the ability to decline a request from a business leader and keep the relationship intact.

Desired Skills

•        Experience in a global capability center or captive shared services environment, particularly one moving from staff augmentation to a pod or capability model.

•        Exposure to manufacturing or industrial businesses and the IT demand they generate.

•        Familiarity with enterprise platforms in use across Marmon, including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor and Microsoft Fabric.

•        Experience establishing a PMO, delivery governance function or service management framework from the ground up.

•        Working knowledge of vendor management and the make versus buy decisions that shape a capability center's scope.
