PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $173,500.00-$211,900.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $135,100.00 - $250,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE: 

As the Director for Web Marketing, you’ll shape and lead the vision for BECU’s public website—the front door to our brand and a critical driver of member acquisition, engagement, and financial education. In this role, you’ll influence how millions of visitors experience BECU by creating intuitive, trustworthy, and highperforming digital journeys. Your leadership will directly impact membership growth, product adoption, and how members make confident financial decisions. By blending strategy, data, and empathy, you’ll help advance BECU’s mission of improving the financial wellbeing of our members. You’ll do work that matters, at scale. 

We’re seeking candidates who live in WA, OR, ID, CA, AZ, TX, NC, SC, GA, or VA. If you reside outside the state of our office location, you’ll travel to Tukwila, WA once per month (Monday–Friday) to spend three full working days onsite at the Tukwila Financial Center. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Set Website Vision and Strategy: You’ll define and evolve the vision for becu.org as a core marketing, acquisition, and education channel—aligning website strategy with brand positioning, product priorities, membership goals, and BECU’s commitment to financial health and freedom. 

  • Drive Acquisition and Conversion Performance: You’ll optimize site journeys and landing pages using conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing, personalization, and behavioral insights to increase membership, account openings, and qualified lead generation. 

  • Lead Web Content and Publishing: You’ll oversee content strategy and publishing across priority journeys, guiding content creation while ensuring best practices in SEO/GEO, accessibility, tagging, and regulatory compliance are consistently applied. 

  • Leverage Data and Analytics: You’ll use analytics and performance data to monitor funnel health, audience behavior, and site performance—translating insights into clear, actionable improvements across content, experience, and conversion. 

  • Champion Member Experience: You’ll ensure the website delivers a clear, intuitive, and accessible experience that helps members understand financial products and make responsible, informed decisions with confidence. 

  • Ensure Brand and Regulatory Compliance: You’ll partner closely with compliance, brand, marketing operations, design, technology, and analytics teams to ensure all website experiences meet financial regulatory standards while maintaining efficiency, speed, and brand consistency. 

  • Build and Lead HighPerforming Teams: You’ll lead a web marketing team spanning content strategy, CRO, and publishing—fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation, and professional growth.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications, or equivalent work or education-related experience 

  • Minimum of 8 years of applicable work experience in digital strategy 

  • Minimum of 5 years of people leader experience in a business environment 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Deep understanding of digital acquisition funnels, customer journeys, SEO, and content governance in a financial context  

  • Proven track record leading high-traffic, data-driven websites that deliver measurable business growth 

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across marketing, product, technology, and compliance teams 

  • Expertise in analytics, testing platforms, and enterprise CMS tools 

  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a passion for simplifying financial decision-making through great digital experiences.
