Role Summary

As the Head – PCM Product Management APAC, you will lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of our Payments & Cash Management (PCM) product suite across the region. This is a pivotal role in a market undergoing rapid digital and regulatory transformation, where customer expectations are evolving quickly.

You will collaborate closely with Sales, TS leadership, Technology, Operations, and global product teams to design and deliver scalable, compliant, and competitive solutions. This is a high‑impact opportunity for a seasoned PCM expert who wants to play a key role in ING’s growth trajectory in Asia.

About the Team

You’ll be part of a collaborative and growing regional team within Transaction Services. Working across multiple markets, you’ll gain exposure to diverse client needs, regulatory environments, and emerging payment ecosystems — all while shaping how ING builds its PCM capabilities in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Development

  • Define and execute the regional PCM product roadmap, ensuring alignment with global strategy and local market needs.
  • Develop and enhance payment and account solutions, including initiatives across real‑time payments, virtual accounts, and digital collection capabilities.
  • Drive commercialization of new features in partnership with Sales, Coverage, and Marketing.

2. Product Lifecycle Management

  • Continuously monitor product performance, client feedback, and market trends to ensure product relevance.
  • Ensure all PCM solutions comply with internal risk, regulatory, and operational policies.
  • Take ownership of front‑to‑back operational risk and partner with stakeholders to manage business and control risks.

3. Commercialisation

  • Support regional Sales teams with product expertise, deal structuring, and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to strengthen product positioning and market visibility.
  • Develop strategies to grow market share, deepen client penetration, and achieve revenue targets.

4. Client & Market Engagement

  • Engage with key clients and industry partners to understand emerging needs and ensure strong product‑market fit.
  • Represent ING in industry associations, conferences, and client events.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory updates and industry developments across APAC to ensure ING’s PCM offerings remain competitive.

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Finance to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Partner with global PCM product teams to leverage global capabilities and maintain consistency across markets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of the payments landscape in APAC, including market infrastructures and emerging capabilities.
  • Regional coverage experience, with understanding of local clearing schemes, host‑to‑host connectivity, and cross‑border payment flows.
  • Strong experience implementing complex payment mandates for corporate clients.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services product management, with at least 5 years focused on Payments & Cash Management.
  • Proven success in product development, commercialization, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of operational, risk, compliance, and legal aspects of payments and account products across APAC.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (APIs, ISO 20022, blockchain, AI).
  • Experience working in regional, cross‑functional, and multicultural environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and balance multiple priorities.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape PCM strategy in a rapidly growing region.
  • Regional exposure and collaboration with both local and global stakeholders.
  • A supportive, collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
  • A role where your work directly contributes to ING’s strategic growth in APAC.
