We are looking for a Director of User Acquisition to spearhead this initiative and help developers scale their player base..


Role Overview:

  • The Director of User Acquisition will be responsible for building and executing user acquisition strategies that help game developers drive installs, engagement, and retention through the Xsolla Offerwall. This role requires a deep understanding of performance marketing, CPA-based advertising, and mobile gaming growth strategies. As a "player/coach," you will take a hands-on approach to managing key accounts while also mentoring and guiding others. Success in this role requires moving st, solving problems proactively, and continuously optimizing for growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Player/Coach Mentality
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive user acquisition strategy leveraging the Xsolla Offerwall.
  • Operate as a "player/coach," directly managing key accounts while mentoring and supporting the team.
  • Establish best practices for campaign execution, optimization, and client success.
  • Move fast and embrace a problem-solving mindset, quickly addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities.

  • Partner with Game Developers to Scale UA
  • Work closely with game studios and publishers to design and execute high-performing UA campaigns.
  • Analyze player acquisition funnels and LTV metrics to optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide strategic guidance on CPA models, retention strategies, and monetization opportunities.
  • Campaign Optimization & Performance Growth
  • Monitor key performance metrics (CPI, CPA, LTV, ROAS, retention) to drive continuous improvements.

  • Leverage data insights to refine targeting ,creative strategies,and in-game monetization.
  • Test and iterate on ad placements, user incentives, and Offerwall mechanics to maximize conversion rates.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting market trends and campaign performance to optimize results in real time.

  • Industry & Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Xsolla’s product, sales, and engineering teams to enhance the Offerwall’s capabilities.
  • Stay ahead of gaming industry trends, evolving UA strategies, and competitive ad networks.
  • Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders, from indie devs to AAA studios

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in user acquisition, performance marketing, or growth marketing within the gaming or ad tech industry.
  • Deep knowledge of Offerwall mechanics, CPA-based advertising, and mobile game monetization.
  • Experience managing UA campaigns for game developers across various acquisition channels.
  • Proven leadership experience, operating as a hands-on mentor and strategic problem solver.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using UA analytics tools, attribution platforms (AppsFlyer, Adjust), and campaign optimization techniques.
  • Ability to move fast, think strategically, and solve problems proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working directly with game developers.
  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the free-to-play and in-game monetization ecosystem.
