JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Responsible for coordinating the cash management sales activities of the company.  In conjunction with front line sales and lending staff, develops new cash management business, develops new product offerings as markets and technologies require, expands existing business relationships, and provides optimum customer service.  Works with Treasury Management Team to develop new product offerings as markets and technology require.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops marketing strategies and sets sales objectives for cash management sales program.
  • Oversees the development of new cash management business, expansion of existing business relationships, and servicing of customers.
  • Ensures cash management needs of company’s present and prospective customers are met by cash management sales officers and/or service representatives.
  • Calls on existing or prospective customers to develop new business, expand existing business, maintain good customer relations, and ensure proper servicing of accounts.
  • Keeps informed of new cash management products, and incorporates them into cash management sales program.  Works with product development team as needed.
  • Ensures that cash management officers are aware of company’s cash management sales activities and that they assist in promoting the company’s cash management sales program.
  • Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with department guidelines.
  • Participates in the budget process and recommends changes for department’s capital and operating budget.
  • Manages personnel, maintains staffing levels, counsels employees, sets work schedules, and trains employees. Conducts performance evaluation sessions, recommends salary increases, hires and terminates employees.
  • Analyzes the competitive posture of the bank in terms of cash management product offerings.  Makes recommendations for the development or enhancement of products as needs are identified.
  • Represents the bank in civic, community, and industry activities as required.
  • Performs all other job related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Incumbent is responsible for organizational integrity and business ethics as it relates to this position, and communicating this commitment to any applicable subordinates.
  • Incumbent may have access to cash, customer accounts, and/or sensitive and confidential information.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; managing performance; addressing concerns and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or Management from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years of cash management sales experience to include exposure to all facets of related cash management sales
  • 8 years of proven management skills. It is imperative that the incumbent have the ability to be a motivator, leader, and an effective decision maker
  • Experience working with a variety of cash management accounts
  • Experience working on complex accounts is preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems/applications
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential
  • Comprehensive understanding of all cash management sales activities
  • Advanced understanding of all bank products, services, and operations
  • Advanced understanding of financial statements, financial analysis, and business strategies
  • Comprehensive understanding of bank industry
  • Thorough understanding of Federal Banking Regulations
  • Working knowledge of PC applications (Word Perfect, Lotus or Excel)
  • Ability to interpret financial data and recommend line of business strategies within trade areas
