We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of, Technology to lead our APAC technology strategy, focusing on Malaysia and Hong Kong. This role requires deep expertise in the region's modern web architectures, cloud platforms, digital innovation, and strong people management experience. You will play a crucial role in leading technology teams and driving the adoption of innovative solutions that enhance business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Strategy & Leadership- Define and implement the APAC technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the adoption of modern content management, microservices, and AI-driven innovations.
- Drive the development of a AWS and Azure Cloud Platform capability in the region with an emphasis on Data Engineering and AI
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to drive competitive advantage.
- Lead and mentor technology teams across Malaysia and Hong Kong, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build and scale teams, ensuring effective talent management and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product, and delivery) to align technology solutions with business goals.
- Oversee the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance digital platforms.
- Drive cloud-native and modern architecture strategies using platforms like AEP with AEM, commercetools or similar, Headless CMS like Builder.io, or Contentful, Sanity and Drupal.
- Ensure best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Drive AI-driven innovations and automation across technology solutions.
- Identify and implement cutting-edge cloud, marketing automation, CMS, and e-commerce solutions.
- Lead research into new technology trends and their business impact.
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, with a demonstratable background in digital transformation. Previous working experience in recognized agencies or consultancy is a plus.
- Proven people management experience, with a track record of team building and leadership.
- Expertise in AEP with AEM, MACH architecture, microservices, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Drupal, Adobe AEM, Builder.io, Contentful, Sanity and other enterprise content management platforms advantageous.
- Expertise in AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Solid understanding of AI-driven solutions and innovative digital strategies.
- Ability to work closely with business teams to develop technology roadmaps and drive execution.
- Malay, Cantonese and English Speaker
- Certifications in Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Strong knowledge of APAC market dynamics and digital trends.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps, and software architecture best practices.
- Lead and grow a high-impact technology team across APAC.
- Work on cutting-edge AI and digital transformation projects.
