Position Overview
The Director, Technical Integration provides critical direction for the strategic management of enterprise-level application integrations. This role serves as a member of the Implementations leadership team and leads the definition and development of enterprise-level technologies and services that are used to integrate API applications with client and other third-party applications to deliver solutions for our clients.

What You'll Do
Essential Functions:

- Requires extensive interaction with customers, Product teams and software development and support teams.
- Responsible for creating and owning implementations, and driving API technology deployments. This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role.
- Oversee customer enterprise application integration activities and provide strategic vision and leadership.
- Initiate and foster business partnerships across the organization that increase efficiency and effectiveness, balance business partner needs with API priorities, business strategies, and objectives.
- Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement, ensuring the highest levels of stability and performance for enterprise applications.
- Develop and use standardized approaches and frameworks for integration for both near-real time and batch data.
- Stay abreast of new vulnerabilities and use knowledge in security to protect applications and data.
- Incorporate critical application improvements into release cycles to enhance production stability.
- This is a leadership role with significant influence and ownership. It does not include formal people-management responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full time, Monday through Friday, normal core business hours and as needed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

What You'll Bring
Required Skills, Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred, and 10 years of related experience to include software technology managerial experience for complex applications.
- Prior experience with performance management, managing managers, resource forecasting and hiring, job development, unit organizational structure, resource allocation, skills forecasting and development, direct report coaching and development.
- Prior experience with leading the implementation and customization of large-scale, mission critical applications with real-time data integrations.
- Strong depth of experience in working with client technology teams to design optimized integrations between their systems and API systems.
- Background in hands-on software development using Java technologies, as well as Apache Tomcat, Weblogic & TomEE.
- Experience using and implementing SOAP/REST based web services using XML/JSON.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies, cloud deployment tools and container orchestration.
- Strong background and experience with airline and travel applications and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a broad variety of constituents including business development, product and program management.

Compensation:
160,000 - 190,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
