Responsibilities
- Tax Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive tax strategy that aligns with the company's business goals. Identify opportunities for tax optimization while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Multi-Country Oversight: Oversee tax matters across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely compliance with tax filings, payments, and reporting requirements.
- Tax Planning: Lead the development and execution of tax planning initiatives to minimize the company's tax liabilities while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Transfer Pricing: Provide guidance on transfer pricing policies and ensure alignment with global tax regulations. Collaborate with international teams to establish arm's length pricing methodologies.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax returns, including income tax, VAT/GST, and other relevant filings. Review tax calculations and disclosures to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Tax Audits and Disputes: Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities across different jurisdictions. Prepare documentation and collaborate with legal teams as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify potential tax risks and implement mitigation strategies. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations that could impact the company's operations.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Treasury, and Accounting, to ensure a cohesive approach to tax matters.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and concise updates to senior management on tax strategies, compliance status, and potential impact on the company's financial position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CTA, etc.) preferred.
- Significant experience of at least 10 years in international taxation, tax planning, and compliance, ideally in a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of global tax regulations, including transfer pricing, withholding taxes, and indirect taxes (VAT/GST).
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing tax optimization strategies.
- Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex tax concepts to non-experts.
- Proficiency in tax-related software, ERP systems, and MS Office suite.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives across multiple countries.
