The Director of Talent is a new strategic leadership role designed to help us fuel our next phase of hyper-growth. Reporting to the VP, People, you will be a hands-on, player-coach responsible for both leading a team of recruiters to achieve ambitious hiring goals and personally driving our most critical searches. You will serve as a critical talent partner to the leadership team on all matters related to talent strategy and hiring at scale. This role is pivotal in supercharging Stord’s growth and ensuring our talent acquisition strategy is a key competitive advantage, directly impacting our ability to achieve our ambitious goals over the next three years. While delivering on our hiring targets, you will have the unique opportunity to build the talent foundation for a best-in-class strategy that will pave the way for our success as we scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Executive Recruiting: Personally own and drive the full-cycle recruiting process for our most critical leadership searches in key strategic areas like Product & Engineering, Data, Network Innovation, Fulfillment Operations, Sales, Marketing, and M&A. 

  • Team Leadership: Act as a player-coach for a team of recruiters, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the team continues to beat ambitious hiring targets and performance metrics as we scale.

  • Talent Strategy: Guide and evolve our talent acquisition strategy to support 200%+ YoY growth, building the scalable processes and capabilities required to lead the company towards a future public offering while beating our hiring targets during rollout of the strategy.. 

  • Strategic Advising: Serve as a strong talent advisor to the leadership team, providing market intelligence and strategic guidance on attracting and securing key talent for pivotal, high-impact roles. Advise on recruiting tool needs and strategy for accurate reporting and visibility into key hiring metrics at scale.

  • Partner Relationship Management: Oversee key relationships with offshore partners as part of global talent strategy. 

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with demonstrated success in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

  • Significant experience in full-cycle executive recruiting for senior leadership roles as well as experience hiring in R&D for ecommerce/supply chain/logistics.

  • Proven success as a "player-coach," with experience mentoring and leading other recruiters to achieve outstanding results.

  • A track record of building and executing talent strategies that have successfully supported rapid company growth.

  • Exceptional ability to partner with and advise senior leadership on critical hiring decisions.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience recruiting in large-scale logistics, supply chain, or enterprise software is a huge plus 

  • Experience in hiring AI, product management, data science roles during a period of hypergrowth..

  • Direct experience scaling a talent acquisition function through a significant scaling phase, IPO, or major funding round is strongly preferred.
