The Director of Surveillance is responsible and accountable for the overall operation of Surveillance department to meet all gaming regulations and protect company assets.
**Note: Interested applicants cannot have any relatives working in any cash-handling, casino, or guest-related position at Horseshoe Bossier City.
ResponsibilitiesDevelops and manages the budgeting, planning, communication and implementing procedures for overall operation of department.
Responsible for designing and installing CCTV and alarm system.
Development of staff, interviews, hires, and evaluates.
Manages processes and programs to reduce and control loss time injuries.
Implement procedures for protecting casino assets and internal controls to ensure the safety and security of the employees and customers.
Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
Review surveillance activities with the General Manager.
Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
Responsible for planning, controlling, communicating and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of the department.
Ensure staff is trained and prepared to deliver the highest level of customer service to the guests in order that they might have a positive gaming and entertainment experience.
Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers. Manages programs and processes to control and reduce loss time injuries.
Assists and advises other departments and personnel as necessary to ensure the successful performance of the Hotel and the Company overall.
Meet with directors and managers as necessary.
Controls and facilities processes to ensure proper head count and employee coverage in all operational departments. Monitors FTEs, actual head count, and overtime.
Achieve departmental and individual performance goals and duties in a timely manner.
Demonstrate ability to understand, communicate and comply with Company Policies, Processes, and Procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Seven to ten years’ experience in security or surveillance in a large volume business or industry with a 4 year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid LA State Gaming License and Responsible Vendor card.
- The ability to obtain and maintain any licenses, permits, insurance, or indemnifications necessary for the completion of duties and responsibilities associated with this position or for the protection of the Company’s assets, employee or patrons.

Skills Required
- Seven to ten years' experience in security or surveillance in a large volume business or industry
- Ability and experience designing and installing CCTV and alarm systems
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid LA State Gaming License
