As a Supply Chain Director, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards. This position requires a leader with strong business acumen, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across a complex, multi-location environment.
What you’ll do:
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency throughout the supply chain.
Evaluate and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers/vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Accountable for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the shipping and receiving organization.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain processes and drive continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals spanning from Buyers to Material Controllers. Provide guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supply chain operations.
Carries out other projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline.
7+ years progressive leadership experience in a Supply Chain Manufacturing environment.
5+ years of experience in aviation and/or MRO.
Desired Skills:
Thorough knowledge of inventory control systems.
Strong experience with Microsoft Suite.
Experience developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPI’s) and analyzing trends to improve results
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
Ability to influence and build consensus
Certifications in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM, or Six Sigma).
Experience with international supply chains, global sourcing, and trade compliance.
Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain management.
