Director of Supply Chain

Huntsman is seeking a Director of Supply Chain supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Global Vice President of Supply Chain.

Job Scope

The Director of Supply Chain will lead the development and execution of supply chain strategies to improve customer experience, optimize inventory and transportation costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. This role will play a key part in enabling the short and long-term objectives of the Performance Products Division by aligning end-to-end supply chain performance with business goals.

In summary, as the Director of Supply Chain, you will:
  • Develop and execute a supply chain strategy that aligns with customer needs, operational footprint, and cost and asset performance.

  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement best practices to ensure continuous product supply while balancing inventory and transportation costs.

  • Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team by providing clear roles, coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with sites and internal/external customers to create a consolidated reporting system for order backlog, status, and shipment forecasting.

  • Analyze cross-functional areas (e.g., Customer Service, Manufacturing, Distribution) to identify synergies and implement performance improvements related to customer service metrics (on-time, in-full delivery).

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • At least 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to procurement, sourcing, or operations management.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading and developing teams.

  • Strong practitioner knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing supply chain strategies and ERP systems.

  • Proficiency in project management and reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Skills and knowledge

  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong leadership and team development abilities.

  • Agile, fact-based decision-making approach.

  • Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and drive performance improvements.

  • Financial acumen, including working knowledge of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing division-level reporting systems.

  • Prior experience working in a global matrix organization.

  • Exposure to shared logistics and distribution strategies.

Working Environment

  • This role is based at the corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.

  • Standard office environment with occasional travel to manufacturing sites or customer locations as needed.
