ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Supply Chain leads Crown Castle's end-to-end Supply Chain organization, providing strategic and operational leadership across strategic sourcing, procurement operations, supplier management, third-party risk management, supply chain analytics, systems, governance and continuous improvement. This role delivers measurable business value through cost optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, operational excellence and enterprise transformation while building a high-performing team and strong cross-functional partnerships.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and develop the Supply Chain team, including sourcing, procurement, supplier management and supply chain operations.
- Establish and execute a multi-year Supply Chain strategy aligned with company objectives and long-term business priorities.
- Partner across the business to identify, prioritize and execute transformation initiatives that deliver measurable cost savings, operational efficiencies and enterprise value on ~
- Serve as a strategic business partner to Finance, Operations, Data & Digital, Legal, HR and other functions, helping stakeholders optimize spend, improve processes and achieve business objectives.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and customer service.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and serve as a trusted advisor on sourcing, supplier and supply chain-related decisions.
- Establish performance metrics and operating rhythms to monitor savings, supplier performance, stakeholder satisfaction and overall Supply Chain effectiveness.
Sourcing, Procurement & Supplier Management
- Establish and deliver annual savings, cost avoidance and business value targets, partnering across the organization to drive execution and accountability for results.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and complex negotiations to deliver savings, cost avoidance and operational value.
- Partner with functional leaders to translate business priorities into sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations and measurable savings opportunities.
- Oversee strategic supplier relationships, including executive engagement, contract governance and supplier performance management.
- Lead a structured supplier management program that includes QBRs, supplier scorecards, corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive supplier accountability across cost, quality, delivery, reliability, responsiveness and safety metrics.
- Foster strategic supplier partnerships that support innovation, operational excellence and long-term business value.
- Oversee procurement operations, including purchasing policies, approval workflows, purchase order governance and compliance with company standards.
Process, Systems & Analytics
- Drive adoption of standardized supply chain processes, data standards and system requirements across the business, improving data quality and enabling a scalable tower order process.
- Lead Supply Chain participation in ERP selection, implementation and future-state process design.
- Improve spend visibility, reporting and analytics to support better sourcing decisions and business outcomes.
- Develop performance dashboards and KPIs to track savings, supplier performance, compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Establish data-driven decision-making capabilities through spend analytics, supplier intelligence, predictive insights and KPI reporting.
- Ensure integrity of procurement and supplier master data to support effective business operations and reporting.
Risk, Controls & Compliance
- Establish and maintain effective supply chain policies, controls and governance frameworks that support compliance, risk management and sound business decision-making.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify compliance gaps, process inefficiencies and control weaknesses, driving sustainable improvements through process standardization and behavioral change.
- Establish and oversee third-party risk management programs addressing supplier financial health, operational resilience, cybersecurity, safety and business continuity risks.
- Help business teams understand and adopt supply chain policies, procedures and system requirements to improve compliance and process consistency.
- Support audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives that advance best-in-class supply chain practices.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or related field.
Experience Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain, sourcing or procurement experience.
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading complex sourcing, procurement transformation and supplier management programs.
- Experience developing and implementing supply chain governance, policies, controls and operating models.
- Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.
- Experience with ERP, procurement, spend analytics, and supplier management preferably JD Edwards, Oracle and Coupa.
Organizational Relationship
Reports To: Vice President, Sustainability & Supply Chain
Direct Reports: Principal Category Manager, Sr. Category Manager, Manager Business Analytics
Where You Will Work
To optimize collaboration, relationship building, and key stakeholder engagement, this roles aligns to a 4:1 hybrid model which is in office Monday-Thursday with the option for remote work on Fridays.

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is $166000 - $228300 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
