Imagine working for a company that measures its success based off the growth of its colleagues, a company that invests in its future by investing in you. Blue Line Distribution is a company where our colleagues make an impact.

Blue Line Distribution, the in-house distributor for Little Caesars Pizza, has been family owned and operated for over 50 years; and is dedicated to leading customized and innovative food service logistics with safety as a top priority.

Your Mission:

The Director of Supply Chain Strategy and Optimization will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our supply chain strategy across all facets of the organization. You will lead a cross-functional team to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and performance enhancements throughout the supply chain network. This role requires a deep understanding of both strategic planning and operational execution, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of innovation.

This position will support the selection of industry-leading route optimization software to enable ongoing improvements across our distribution center network and daily transportation operations—encompassing both delivery routes and backhaul opportunities that minimize non-revenue mileage. The role will serve as the primary hands-on owner and user of newly implemented systems, tools, and optimization platforms, responsible for building workflows, designing processes, and managing daily software functions until the team expands.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring supply chain efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
  • Optimization Initiatives: Identify and lead process improvements across sourcing, production, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to reduce costs, increase throughput, and improve overall performance.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced analytics, KPIs, and forecasting tools to assess supply chain performance and guide decision-making for improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders in operations, procurement, IT, and finance to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Change Management: Lead transformation projects aimed at modernizing supply chain systems and processes, focusing on automation, digitization, and best practices.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers and third-party service providers, optimizing partnerships for mutual benefit and improving procurement processes.
  • Risk Management: Assess potential risks across the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions from supply shortages, geopolitical factors, or other external variables.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Who You Are:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic role.
  • Expertise: Strong experience in supply chain optimization, strategic sourcing, inventory management, logistics, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in supply chain management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of data analytics and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
    • Experience with automation and digital supply chain technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to tackle complex problems, think strategically, and manage change effectively.
  • Global Perspective: Experience managing global supply chains, including vendor relationships, logistics, and geopolitical risks.

Working Conditions:

  • Innovative Culture: Join a forward-thinking company that values creativity, innovation, and a results-driven approach.
  • Career Growth: As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll have the opportunity to drive meaningful change and shape the future of our supply chain operations.
  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible work arrangements, including the possibility of remote work, and a focus on employee well-being.

What We Do

ABOUT LITTLE CAESARS® Headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, Little Caesars was founded by Mike and Marian Ilitch in 1959 as a single, family-owned restaurant. Today, Little Caesars is the third largest pizza chain in the world, with stores in each of the 50 U.S. states and 27 countries and territories. Little Caesars recently introduced contactless options for both delivery and carry-out through the Little Caesars app. Pizzas are baked in 475-degree ovens to ensure food safety and never touched after baking. The chain has also reinforced cleanliness and sanitization procedures, increasing the frequency of cleaning commonly touched surfaces including door handles, glass, countertops, Pizza Portal surfaces, phones, and cash registers. Known for its HOT-N-READY® pizza and famed Crazy Bread®, Little Caesars has been named “Best Value in America” for the past twelve years (based on nationwide survey of national quick service restaurant customers conducted by Sandelman & Associates - 2007-2019 entitled “Highest Rated Chain – Value for the Money”). Little Caesars products are made with quality ingredients, like fresh, never frozen, mozzarella and Muenster cheese and sauce made from fresh-packed, vine-ripened California crushed tomatoes. An exceptionally high growth company with 60 years of experience in the $145 billion worldwide pizza industry, Little Caesars is continually looking for franchisee candidates to join our team in markets around the world. In addition to providing the opportunity for entrepreneurial independence in a franchise system, Little Caesars offers strong brand awareness with one of the most recognized and appealing characters in the country, Little Caesar
