Job Summary

The role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations across the North American region. This position involves strategic planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, and logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes that meet customer demands and support business objectives.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the overall business objectives for North America.
  • Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including PMC, logistics, distribution, and inventory management.
  • Drive the S&OP process in collaboration with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments.
  • Ensure efficient transportation and warehousing operations to meet service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for cost savings.
  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and supply chain disruptions, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Promote sustainable supply chain practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of supply chain operations.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to align supply chain strategies with business needs.
  • Utilize audits and site visits to evaluate supplier processes and quality controls.
  • Engage with client leaders to understand their requirements and address them in the solutions lead
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or a relevant field. MBA is preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain management, including 5 years in a leadership role at least, the experience in Automotive and Commercial Vehicle industry is preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully managing supply chain operations in North America.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and procurement best practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills
  • The ability to work with a diverse and cross-functional team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel.
