Director Supply Chain FP&A – Meals & Beverage (M&B) Division

This position is a critical role responsible for divisional Supply Chain FP&A and serve as the business partner to the Meals & Beverage Division SVP of Finance.  This position reports to the AVP, Supply Chain Finance FP&A and will sit on the Meals & Beverage Division finance leadership team.  The role will be responsible for leading Meals & Beverage Supply chain Financial Planning and Management Reporting – this includes monthly consolidation and reporting of COPS financial results, projections, and metrics, as well as the development of monthly COPS presentation materials.  This position also leads a team which provides critical finance reporting for the enterprise.

This role leads a department of 4 inclusive of 2 direct reports and is responsible for their development.

This role will have significant interaction with the senior finance leadership team (including the SVP SC Finance, SVP Finance for the Meals & Beverage division, CFO of the Campbell’s Company), and other senior leaders across the enterprise. 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the management of M&B COPS and Total Delivered Costs (TDC)
  • Drive SC performance for the M&B Division by improving financial visibility, implementing standardized KPIs, and identifying key areas of opportunities to improve performance across the network.
  • Lead Integrated Business Planning process including Strategic Planning, development of Annual Operating Plans, and monthly projections and tracking of results
  • Provide actionable insights to the business partners and Supply chain Leadership team. 
  • Role will serve as the main interface (“connective tissue”) from the SC Finance COE to the SVP, Finance 
  • Actively manage M&B COPS risk and opportunities to enable the Division to deliver on earnings targets; provide executive judgment and recommend changes based on year-to-date performance and future outlook
  • Completion of monthly business reporting presentation for M&B COPS;  review information with the SVP Finance and M&B Leadership Team
  • Role also provides strategic financial thought leadership on large SC projects for the M&B division.  Utilize information across the SC Finance COE to analyze and recommend strategic actions necessary to drive impact for the division. 
  • Oversight of data and metrics to support Enterprise SC finance Scorecards
  • Advance dashboards and data visualization reporting for the SC finance team 
  • Development of Supply Chain FP&A Team and Succession Planning
  • Assess talent and provide development plans
  • Linkage to Divisions on talent planning
  • Identify financial planning and training opportunities
  • Support delivery of College of Finance FP&A Courses
  • Ad Hoc/Special Projects as needed
  • Investment decision support for Corporate led initiatives regarding Supply Chain 

Job Complexity and Scope

  • Strong understanding of overall business processes and solid understanding of supply chain. Must have a strong understanding of Financial Statements, financial consolidation process and be able to handle tight deadlines with high accuracy
  • Position requires a strong analytical mindset;  strong collaboration skills and excellent problem solving capabilities 
  • Position is required to interact with all levels of management from CFO to divisional financial leads and be able to interpret and communicate financial results as needed
  • This person will need to maintain a strong rapport with various teams: SC Finance COE, M&B divisional finance team 

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 12+ years Finance experience – CPG Preferred; 7 -10 years in a financial leadership role
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Ability to identify, design and implement financial reporting & analysis process improvements
  • Excellent business partner and thought leader with superior analytical abilities
  • Ability to effectively partner with the divisional finance leadership team to help drive business results as well as the SC Finance COE 
  • Ability to develop an overall monthly/quarterly consolidated closing/reporting plan, coupled with the tactical skills to implement the plan
  • Experience in building a strong, business-focused team with a bias for action
  • Strong business acumen; understanding of Campbell’s various business models preferred
  • Executive presence, exudes calm confidence and control under pressure
  • Ensures credible, actionable, high impact recommendations
  • Ability to work successfully at a Fortune 500 company in a matrix environment
  • Strong analytical skills; fluent in data analytics applications such as: Tableau and PowerBI
  • SAP and EPM experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$167,000-$240,000

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
