Pay Range

$68.20 - $102.30

Major Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Program Development: Develop and execute a multiyear strategy for stroke and cerebrovascular services aligned with enterprise neuroscience and system goals; build and scale subprograms and lead business planning for new services. 
  • Clinical Operations & Care Coordination: Optimize workflows for acute stroke response; standardize protocols for stroke alerts and interventions; coordinate multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure seamless care transitions. 
  • Quality, Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and advance stroke accreditation (Joint Commission, DNV); ensure adherence to regulatory standards; oversee registry participation and performance through ongoing quality review and improvement. 
  • Data, Analytics & Performance Reporting: Deploy dashboards for realtime tracking of stroke metrics; analyze data for performance trends and opportunities; lead governance meetings to monitor progress. 
  • Education, Training & Workforce Development: Oversee system and divisionlevel training programs; manage competency validation for EMS, ED, inpatient, and postacute teams; foster interdisciplinary engagement and retention. 
  • Technology & Innovation: Evaluate and implement new technologies such as advanced imaging, telemedicine, and AIenabled clinical tools; ensure operational integration with EMR platforms and data infrastructure. 
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; monitor program volumes, reimbursement, contribution margin, and other financial indicators; collaborate with finance and revenue cycle teams. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach: Build and maintain referral networks; collaborate with marketing and communications; represent the stroke program in systemwide and regional forums to advance awareness and growth. 

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required or obtained upon hire. Familiarity with GWTG–Stroke program standards expected. 

Education Required:

  • ​​ Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field 

Experience Required:

  • ​​7–10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including Stroke and Neurology program oversight.  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of stroke systems of care, Joint Commission and DNV accreditation standards, acute stroke operations, data analytics, and evidencebased stroke management. Familiarity with GWTG–Stroke program standards expected. 
  • Skills in strategic planning, operations management, performance improvement, financial acumen, and change leadership.  
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, build physician partnerships, communicate effectively at all levels, and drive datainformed decision making. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in office environments, inpatient clinical areas (ICU, ED), procedural areas, and stroke program sites. Must be able to round in clinical areas, attend inspections and audits, and respond to offhours operational needs as required. Occasional travel across sites or markets is expected. 

Preferred Job Requirements

Education:

  • Master’s degree in public health, nursing, healthcare administration, or related field required 

Experience Required:

  • 7–10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including Stroke and Neurology program oversight. Multisite leadership experience strongly preferred. 

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Clinical licensure preferred.  
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required or obtained upon hire.
