Position Overview:

Responsible for building, developing, and leading a high-performing team of staff who oversee the full supply agreement lifecycle for indirect spend categories across Sutter Health. This leader owns the indirect category strategy, supplier relationships, and value delivery and is accountable for achieving meaningful year-over-year savings and value generation aligned with organizational goals.
This role partners closely with leaders across the organization to align sourcing strategies with business priorities. Leads the development and execution of a strategic vision across a complex, matrixed health system by leveraging strong negotiation, relationship-building, and team leadership skills.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

6 years recent relevant experience

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, lead teams, and drive organizational change.
  • Proven ability to use data and analytics to support strategic decision-making and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Expertise in indirect spend categories, including facilities, information technology, human resources, professional services, and related areas.
  • Proven record of delivering measurable savings, value creation, and operational improvements.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, including successful execution of complex commercial agreements.
  • Executive presence and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence leaders at all organizational levels.

Pay Range is $165,339.20 to $264,555.20 / annual salary. NC State Rates: Pay Range is $72.26 to $115.62 / annual salary.

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
