Ready to lead, disrupt and reinvent the sleep industry?

We are Emma – The Sleep Company. Founded in 2015, we’ve become the world’s largest D2C sleep brand, available in over 35 countries with more than 25 stores across Europe. Recommended by leading consumer associations in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, we develop the best sleep comfort products that empower our customers to awaken their best every day.

At Emma, we are a community of smart, driven people, united by a strong culture of collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge sharing. We think big, take ownership, and are empowered to drive meaningful impact. Through hands-on experience, mentorship, and continuous learning, we drive our own growth and learning. With Emmies from over 60 nationalities and offices across multiple regions, our diverse perspectives enrich our workplace culture. Ready to shape the future of sleep with us? Let’s make it happen!

What you will do:

  • You will lead, grow, and develop a team of 14 talented professionals – including procurement managers and compliance experts – to build a high-performing, resilient, and innovative procurement organization at Emma.
  • You will report directly to our Co-Founder, CEO, and Chief Product Officer Manuel Müller and work closely with cross-functional teams in Product Development, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to align procurement strategy with Emma’s long-term business goals.
  • You will define and implement a global procurement strategy that balances cost efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and supplier innovation – enabling Emma to scale globally while staying fast, flexible, and future-ready.
  • You will manage and expand our collaboration with international suppliers, fostering strong partnerships across nearshore and overseas regions to secure the best material quality, pricing, and lead times.
  • You will play a critical role in co-creating new products together with our suppliers, ensuring that the right components and materials are available for successful product launches across all markets.
  • You will generate strategic insights by developing a deep understanding of supplier capabilities, market dynamics, material innovation, and regulatory requirements – and turn those insights into competitive advantages.
  • You will challenge conventional sourcing approaches and think outside the box to elevate Emma’s procurement performance – from cost and compliance to supplier innovation and sustainability.

Who we are looking for:

  • You have more than 10 years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management – ideally in a fast-paced, international environment. Experience in start-up or scale-up settings is a plus.
  • You have successfully completed your studies in a relevant field such as business, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline – with a strong academic track record.
  • You have proven experience in leading high-performing, cross-functional teams – and know how to inspire, structure, and elevate them.
  • You are deeply familiar with global sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and compliance topics, and you thrive when working at the intersection of product, quality, operations, and sustainability.
  • You are fluent in English; German or other languages are a plus.
  • You are based in or willing to relocate to the Frankfurt area. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in our Frankfurt HQ and 2 days remote.

What we offer:

  • A combination of personal and company growth to accelerate your career and help you reach your goals.
  • The chance to work on exciting and challenging projects either independently or as part of a dedicated, international team.
  • Responsibility and decision-making authority from day one—you'll create an impact with new, innovative ideas and help shape our company DNA.
  • To work and learn from experts in diverse fields and get to know your team members at exciting company events.
