The Director, Strategic Planning & Analytics serves as a critical extension of the Head of Strategic Planning & Execution, supporting the Integrated Partner business within the Integrated & Platforms line of business at Global Payments, driving data-informed decision making, analytical rigor, and forecasting. This role translates strategic priorities into actionable insights, enables performance transparency, and ensures leadership has the quantitative foundation needed to drive growth and operational excellence.
- Partner with the Head of Strategic Planning & Execution to support annual and quarterly planning cycles with deep analytical insights.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasting frameworks, and scenario analyses to inform strategic decisions.
- Translate business strategies into measurable KPIs, targets, and data-driven plans.
- Provide structured analysis on market trends, payments ecosystem dynamics, and competitive benchmarks to inform prioritization.
- Build business cases and ROI models for key investments, initiatives, and product strategies.
- Own end-to-end performance analytics, including sales performance, pipeline health, revenue forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop predictive models and forecasts using complex datasets, identifying risks and opportunities to targets.
- Partner with Finance and Sales teams to ensure alignment between forecasts, actuals, and strategic plans.
- Analyze drivers of business performance, including customer growth, retention, pricing, and product adoption.
- Deliver actionable insights to senior leadership through clear, data-driven storytelling.
- Partners closely with Revenue Operations org to maintain updated SOPs and business processes in support of data cleanliness
- Partners closely with Strategic Insights team to define metrics and develop sales dashboards.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks across key business metrics.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems, partnering with Data, Finance, and GTM teams.
- Enable self-service analytics capabilities by structuring data and reports for broader organizational use.
- Streamline and automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on sales, payments, and operational data.
- Embed analytics into program governance, tracking performance against milestones, KPIs, and business outcomes.
- Support risk identification through data analysis, highlighting potential delivery gaps and performance issues.
- Provide quantitative support for cross-functional initiatives, including launches, migrations, and transformation programs.
- Collaborate with program owners to ensure accountability through measurable outcomes and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, GTM, Product, Finance, and Data teams to align on metrics, definitions, and reporting.
- Act as the analytical counterpart to business leaders, helping translate questions into structured analysis and insights.
- Support executive presentations with data-backed narratives, visualizations, and decision frameworks.
- 6–10 years of experience in business analytics, strategic planning, payments, sales operations, or consulting.
- Strong background in the payments industry and familiarity with transaction data, revenue drivers, and industry metrics.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience working with large, complex datasets (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools such as Tableau/Power BI).
- Proven expertise in sales analytics, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, hypothesis-driven approach.
- High attention to detail with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
- Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
