The Role

The Director, Strategic Partnerships is a senior, execution-focused leader who operates at the center of Linktree's most consequential external relationships across our global platform and technology ecosystem.

Reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships & Business Development, you will co-own the strategy and lead execution across Linktree’s full partnership portfolio, spanning platform integrations, B2B and ecosystem partnerships, and co-marketing initiatives. You bring deep experience engaging senior leaders at major technology companies, a track record of aligning on shared vision, and the discipline to drive initiatives through to measurable outcomes, whether those outcomes are revenue, product capability, distribution or trust & safety.

This role is suited to someone who is as comfortable in a boardroom conversation with a senior executive at a global platform as they are rolling up their sleeves on deal structure and negotiations, internal alignment, or team development. You will serve as a principal voice in partner relationships and help build the operational foundation that enables the team to scale.

What You’ll Own

  • Strategic Partner Development: Define and execute Linktree’s strategic partnership roadmap across social platforms, commerce ecosystems, payment providers, and creator-economy infrastructure. Own full lifecycle partnership execution from sourcing and structuring to negotiation, launch, and post-launch growth.
  • Commercial Impact: Drive measurable revenue contribution against FY26 targets across a number of initiatives, including advertising, app ecosystem, and paid messaging. Hold the partner-attributed pipeline number and own forecast accuracy.
  • Senior Relationship Management: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic partners and key industry stakeholders. Serve as the senior point of escalation for major deals and partner negotiations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to translate partner needs into roadmap influence and successful launches. Act as the connective tissue between external partner momentum and internal execution.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Stay ahead of trends in the creator economy, social commerce, and link-in-bio category. Surface emerging opportunities and threats to leadership.
  • Operational Excellence: Build and enforce disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting. Define KPIs and review cadences that increase predictability of partner-driven revenue.
  • Team Building (over time): Recruit, develop, and lead a small high-performing partnerships team as the function scales. Set the bar for excellence, accountability, and collaboration.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership; at least 3 years at Director level (or equivalent senior IC scope) in SaaS, consumer internet, or creator economy.
  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex strategic partnerships with measurable revenue and product impact — ideally including deals with social platforms, payment providers, or major commerce/retail partners.
  • Exceptional commercial instinct paired with deep product fluency — comfortable translating partnership opportunities into product roadmap influence.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and executive presence; ability to build trust at the C-suite level externally and operate as a peer to leadership internally.
  • Data-driven operator with experience setting KPIs, building forecasts, and using analytics to optimise partnership performance.
  • Proficiency with CRM and pipeline tools (e.g., Attio, HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Player-coach mindset — comfortable closing your own deals today while building the team and motion for tomorrow.
  • Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven; thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with ambiguity and high autonomy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA a plus, not required.

Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $220,000-$235,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.
