About the role:

Director, Product Partnerships is a leadership role within the Strategic Partnerships team, that will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, development, activation and ongoing management of new partnership opportunities within our product vertical.   This individual will collaborate with the FIS Atelio, Banking and Capital Markets Business Units, on strategic, cross-divisional partnerships that benefit the broader FIS client ecosystem.    They will be tasked with (1) identifying innovation opportunities with key ecosystem partners that support client centricity and profitable revenue growth, (2) being the voice for business & product teams as we explore global partnerships that strengthen our products and bring in revenue opportunity and (3) establishing and influencing, across the team/cross functional partners to drive outcomes and activate partnerships in market. This role reports to the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Product Solutions

What you will be doing:

  • Lead in partnership with cross business line executive stakeholders to define and implement strategies that deliver end user value through strategic FinTech partnerships and ecosystem solutions.
  • Meet with clients and prospects to understand their unmet business needs and current vendor landscape, to decrease friction and maximize value across the value chain.
  • Partner with P&L & Product leaders to innovate and bring new capabilities to market through componentized and shared technology and services.
  • Analyse market fit, realize/articulate business value and track adoption of new and existing partnerships.
  • Partner across lines of business to define and coordinate execution of cross-company solutions bundles that represent repeatable sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technology, finance, legal, strategic investments, pricing, product development, technology, and commercialization teams.

What you will need:

Acumen & Market Understanding

  • 7-10+ years of FinTech partnerships experience with emphasis in banking or payments.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry.
  • Deep network in FinTech and financial services industry to drive market credibility and adoption of partnerships.
  • Proven track record of success in partnership management, innovation, and/or other forms of revenue growth acceleration strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of legal and finance aspects of commercial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of FinTech products including offering structures, different business models, product positioning, technology, and market trends.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, and practical experience in delivering complex solutions in a fast-moving business landscape.
  • Understanding of changing regulations in the banking landscape.
  • Undergraduate degree.

  • Able to collaborate with business, product, platform, technology, and other FIS leaders to define and communicate a clear strategy with specific goals and measures to determine progress toward those goals.
  • Proven collaborative approach; openly sharing information and receptive to the ideas of others.

  • Setting clear and measurable performance objectives and monitoring progress rigorously, planning, and linking action to business priorities.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $167,780.00 - $281,870.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
