Job Purpose

Welldoc is seeking a Director of Strategic Marketing Programs to serve as the key marketing liaison and program leader for our most important B2B and B2B2C client accounts (Health Plans, Life Sciences, and Employers).

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a proven digital health marketing professional with deep experience in client strategy, corporate communications, program management, and performance analysis.

We are looking for a true marketing athlete with deep, broad capabilities: expansive health tech/healthcare landscape knowledge, strategic planning expertise, robust project management and technical acumen, and a proven ability to drive growth. This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused expert who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and agilely managing competing, high-priority commitments in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute across all fronts, serving as a critical strategic and executional hub for marketing to work cross-functionally develop, optimize, and scale programs that drive business growth, engagement, and brand visibility.

Responsibilities


  • Marketing Program Strategy: Drive innovative and customized B2B/B2B2C program strategies for key partners, leveraging deep domain expertise to design differentiated that move beyond industry norms and deliver exceptional sales enablement, enrollment and engagement results.
  • Performance & Data Storytelling: Analyze campaign performance data to identify key insights and craft compelling "data stories" for both clients and internal leadership. Provide clear, data-driven recommendations for program optimization, driving a closed-loop feedback process.
  • Corporate Communications & Public Relations: Support corporate communication & public relation projects and initiatives as guided by CEO and CMO
  • Thought Leadership: Support the integrated marketing team with messaging and content required for strategic thought leadership (white papers, speaking abstracts, executive presentations) that elevates Welldoc's market position
  • Market Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the digital health/health tech competitive landscape and client needs to ensure Welldoc's B2B and B2B2C strategies remain leading-edge.
  • End-to-End Program Ownership: Accountability to execute multiple complex programs simultaneously, establishing clear project plans and coordinating efforts across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-On Support: Maintain a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality, jumping in for detailed work like content editing, copy review, and internal testing to maintain speed and ensure high quality of deliverables servicing different audiences

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive client-facing marketing experience in healthcare, health tech, and/or life sciences. Applicants without direct healthcare experience will not be considered.
  • Proven success serving as a senior marketing liaison with sophisticated clients (e.g., health plans, health systems, or life sciences).Deep expertise in B2B and B2B2C campaign strategies aimed at driving patient/member acquisition and engagement for digital health solutions.
  • Expert-level program and project management proficiency, including managing multiple, complex, multi-channel programs simultaneously and use of tools (i.e. SmartSheets, Microsoft Project)
  • Strong practical understanding of digital marketing channels (email, digital media, social, etc.) and their application in an omnichannel campaign environment.
  • Ability to drive marketing data stories and insights to track performance, measure ROI, and guide optimization.
  • Comfort with a hands-on role that requires direct involvement in execution details.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear, persuasive communications (written and presentation skills).
  • Solutions-focused and highly comfortable navigating ambiguity, acting as a proactive, independent self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
  • Strong track record of leading and collaborating cross-functionally across commercial, product and data teams.

Note: Level of role will be determined based on experience and fit.  Selected applicants will be required to share marketing portfolio and/or present to demonstrate proficiency and expertise.


Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments.  Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either prior experience working in those environments or will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.


Required Education  

                                 

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar background


Compensation & Benefits

Welldoc offers a competitive compensation package which, in addition to salary, includes generous PTO, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision care, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits. and the opportunity to participate in health savings accounts and/or dependent care accounts. The anticipated salary range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000 per year, with the expectation that candidates meeting the minimum qualifications of the role be eligible for up to the midpoint of the range.

  

Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process.  This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company’s customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered all applicable laws.
