Responsibilities

The Director, Sports Partnerships is a business development role responsible for managing asports partnerships strategy and identifying, developing, and securing new national andinternational sales opportunities. Primary focus will be on team activations, fan experiences andsports tours.

Target partnerships could include:

  • Professional sports leagues, teams & college athletics – including league/team marketingoffices, stadium and arena ownership groups, and their fan zone, season activation, andevent programming
  • Major event organizing & host committees
  • Sports tours & traveling properties
  • Sports marketing & experiential agencies – often the procurement gatekeeper even whenthe work is for a team or league
  • Brand sponsors with active sports marketing budgets – e.g., beverage, auto, tech, andfinancial-services sponsors funding team activations and fan tours independent of therights holder
  • Combat sports, sports entertainment & esports – stadium-scale fan experience andactivation builds

The Director drives revenue through contracting lighting, audio, and video services, laborsupport and custom scenic environments. As a highly visible role representing PRG’s Corporate& Brand Experiences Group in the marketplace, the Director maintains a high level ofprofessionalism in every client and partner setting. The role is eligible for the PRG commissionplan.

The Director cultivates long-term, multidisciplinary, high-level client partnerships with anemphasis on profitable scenic work. This individual works closely with Sales & Estimation,Technical Design, and Project Management teams to develop concepts, budgets, and proposals


This position will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer.

Essential Functions

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new national and international sales opportunities, with aprimary focus on the sports vertical
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, emphasizing repeat business
  • Collaborate with Technical Design, Estimation, and Operations to align creative conceptswith feasible, cost-effective scenic solutions
  • Coordinate internal technical and service resources during early-stage projectdevelopment
  • Lead the RFP and presentation process from concept through award, including strategy,pricing, and value positioning
  • Define project scope with clients, including scenic elements, budget, schedule, andresource requirements
  • Identify and expand revenue opportunities within accounts, increasing scenic scope andproject value
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, Projects) perPRG standards
  • Position scenic as a lead discipline in client conversations, not just a supporting scope
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client events to buildbrand presence and generate leads

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $140,000-150,000,  In addition, this role offers a commission opportunity.  Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data. Additionally, we offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with matching contributions
