About the role:  

The Director of Spa forms part of the Rooms Management Department and provides leadership to Spa Team and reports to the Resort Manager. The Spa Director provides cutting edge advice and makes key strategic and operational decisions for the Spa and Wellness department with regards to treatments and philosophies. Creating, developing and implementing Spa and Wellness treatments and concepts, demonstrating effective retail management, supervises personnel such as Ayurvedic doctors, Herbalists, Medical Practitioners. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for providing the best-in-class service and can connect with guests by demonstrating the finer touches of luxury service.

What you will do: 

  • The ability to oversee the Spa department and ensure it runs smoothly each day by supervising, interviewing, training, interacting with guests, giving feedback and disciplining employees.

  • The ability to be responsible for the administration of goods, requisitions, inventories, storage and cost-effective usage of all department related materials and assets, according to standards to ensure smooth operation. This includes building relationships with vendors of the Spa products.

  • The ability to interact with guests, provide full knowledge and assistance for maximum guest usage in a friendly but unobtrusive manner with all guests and be able to be a quick problem solver to resolve issues.

  • The ability to develop new treatments/concepts to continually keep the Spa at the forefront of the industry.

  • The ability to schedule staff and complete payroll records and reports in accordance with budgeted guidelines.

  • The ability to oversee the cleanliness of the Spa and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering to ensure equipment works perfectly.

  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

  • Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Empact.

What you bring: 

  • College degree in Spa Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management or Business Administration preferred.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in luxury Spa or related field.

  •  Previous experience with Spa retail preferred
