Tasks and Qualifications:- Lead teams to manage the software scope, budget, schedule, risks and opportunities, resource planning, and change management for Dematic project portfolio, making informed commitments to customers.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to establish standards and tools that improve project execution quality and efficiency.
- Support Sales through concept and estimate reviews.
- Partner with Project Controlling to proactively identify and mitigate project risks, enhancing project stability and success.
- Drive innovation through continuous improvement initiatives and promote project retrospectives for knowledge sharing across teams.
- Cultivate relationships with software execution and product teams to support feedback loops for ongoing and future releases.
- Establish and nurture comprehensive customer relationships to align expectations and enhance satisfaction.
- Represent Dematic software project leadership in customer quarterly business reviews, project portfolio reviews, and financial assessments.
- Coach, mentor, and hire software project managers and leaders, fostering professional development and growth within the team.
- Provide advisory support in reviewing new software and technology opportunities, ensuring proposals align with the capabilities of the software team.
- Coordinate with software application engineering leaders to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Collaborate in setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and team goals ensuring reporting visibility reflects team success.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Skills & Capabilities
- Proven interpersonal, team building, mentoring and leadership skills
- Demonstrated willingness to take risks and make adjustments quickly
- Executive-level verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships in times of prosperity and adversity
- Capable of 30% travel (supporting “Be where you are needed” culture)
Experience Desired
- Demonstrated ability to drive program results, hit deadlines, and measure team effectiveness
- Proven experience developing and leading managers and developing people leaders
- Experience with Dematic Software Platforms, Software Execution, Software Support, Ongoing Customer relationships
- Deep understanding of all aspects of Software development lifecycle, as well as excellence in software project delivery
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, logistics or related field – or commiserate work experience in these fields.
