This role requires working from our local Hyderabad office 2-3x a week.
INTRODUCTION:

This is an opportunity to work with and evolve our technical platforms that deliver our clients’ gym member interactions on mobile, including scheduling classes, making payments, and managing their subscriptions. ABC provides a custom branded application experience available in both the Google Play and Apple App Store.
As Director of Software Engineering, you will be the leader of our development teams in India. You will bring your experience, collaboration and innovation to hire, develop and lead teams to build an incredible customer experience through our technology and products, while working with other development leaders to drive our platform strategy to stakeholders within and outside of ABC.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic vision for the R&D engineering function that aligns with the company's broader objectives.
- Work closely with the global engineering and product leaders to ensure the design, development, and maintenance of our Fitness platform meets and exceeds business needs.
- Implement efficient technology platform using frontend/backend/data insights and oversee the development of high-performance and quality engineering development.
- Collaborate with various organizational leaders and stakeholders to deliver precise Technology and platform solutions that address their unique needs.
- Foster an API first culture within the organization and advocate the ease of integration across solutions.
- Lead and mentor a dynamic engineering team, promoting a culture of continuous innovation and providing opportunities for professional development.
- Oversee the development and implementation of software engineering best practices, secure mindset, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal requirements are built into the products.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in software engineering and introduce cutting-edge innovations into our practices.
- Clearly articulate our platform strategy to stakeholders and senior management, and dive into the heart of engineering challenges to resolve them efficiently.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Able to work from our Hyderabad office 2-3x/week
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field experience preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience (less years required with advanced degrees), with at least 7 years of managerial experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication when interacting with audiences of both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards success.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale software products and services.
- Deep understanding of Software engineering architectures, system design, DevSecOps mindset.
- Superior communication skills, capable of addressing complex data challenges clearly and efficiently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE:
- Prior experience on Data Analytics platforms such as Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI, and a commitment to staying current with Azure's latest products and services
- Exceptional knowledge of Azure technologies, programming language (Java/.Net), React JS, and mobile development.
