The individual in this role is responsible for leading software development teams to develop new and exciting products for KnowBe4’s customers, alongside other engineers in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manages other Software Engineering Managers
- May also lead a software team that develops software using the KnowBe4 Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies
- Translates KnowBe4's strategic goals into operational plans.
- Provides coordination across functional and divisional boundaries
- Management and delivery of large-scale, customer facing cyber security products
- Management of multiple software development teams and individual contributors across various geographical locations
- Management of multiple, concurrent software development workstreams
- Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, and discipline of subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or equivalent plus 10 years technical experience
- MS or equivalent plus 5 years technical experience
- Ph.D. or equivalent plus 4 years technical experience
- 8 years experience managing software development teams
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong experience building high volume, customer-facing applications
- Strong experience in designing, building and deploying commercial cyber security products and applications
- Strong understanding of modern cyber security domain concepts
