About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director of Software Applications GPLM to lead the vision, roadmap, and cross-functional alignment of our customer-facing software applications. Working closely with the Executive Director, you will ensure that the software product strategy aligns with broader business objectives and enhances the value of our integrated AVC portfolio.  In this role, you will drive harmonization across our digital product ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration with our industry-leading audio, video, and control hardware. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of user experience across a global portfolio of mobile, desktop, and web applications, while aligning closely with hardware, engineering, UX, and go-to-market teams. What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the global product strategy for customer-facing software applications, aligned with the company’s hardware innovation roadmap.
  • Drive harmonization across a fragmented software product landscape to deliver a unified and intuitive user experience.

Product Lifecycle Ownership

  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle management: from ideation and roadmap definition to launch, adoption, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Prioritize feature development based on customer needs, market trends, and internal business goals.
  • Represent product interests in negotiations with external partners, vendors, or key customers to ensure technical integration, licensing, or joint development agreements support strategic product objectives.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX, hardware product teams, and regional market leaders to ensure software-hardware synergy.
  • Drive agile product development practices, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management.
  • Persuade internal stakeholders—including engineering, hardware, and regional business leaders—to align on priorities, resource allocation, and timelines by articulating clear customer value and business impact.

Voice of the Customer

  • Champion customer-centric design by incorporating user research, feedback, and usage analytics into decision-making.
  • Understand and represent diverse global customer needs across verticals such as commercial AV, broadcast, and live sound.

Team Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers and product owners focused on software innovation.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • B.S. in Business (Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or equivalence). Advanced degree is preferred, not required. 
  • Minimum 10 years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing software applications
  • Demonstrated success integrating software with hardware products in a B2B or prosumer tech environment
  • Deep understanding of application architecture and UX best practices across mobile, web, and desktop platforms
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed, global organization
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with agile software development and modern product management tools

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent is preferred
  • Background in audio technology, AV systems, or professional media equipment
  • Experience with APIs, control software, device configuration tools, or media streaming applications
  • International market exposure and sensitivity to regional user needs

What Makes You Eligible

  • You are willing to travel up to 30% of the time, domestic and international travel
  • Willingness to work in an office in Richardson, TX in a hybrid setting
  • Willing to work in an office in Richardson, TX in a hybrid setting. However, we are open to considering remote work in a US Home Office with the ability to travel into the office, based on Business needs.
  • Successfully completing a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Salary Ranges:

$ 185,250 - $ 271,700
