Job Description

What it's all about: 

This role is based in one of the key Visa Europe cities including London, Madrid, Frankfurt, Berlin, Milan, Warsaw, supporting Visa Europe’s 37 markets. The role reports into the Director, SMB Solutions & Propositions.

You will work within the Small Business (SMB) team within Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS), which is responsible for accelerating VCS SMB revenue and improving Visa’s SMB solutions and propositions. You will be expected to work with a diverse set of internal stakeholders as well as clients to build compelling SMB propositions, and you will support sales colleagues in selling and scaling these solutions in market. You will be required to travel occasionally for client meetings and may be expected to attend and represent Visa at industry events.

 

Responsibilities:

· Commercial ownership: Drive the commercial strategy, product build and execution plan for SMB B2B/ procurement solutions and embedded payments to grow Visa’s SMB business, aligned with Visa’s corporate objectives.

· Proposition/solution development: design and build scalable, revenue-driving solutions and propositions for issuers and other players in the SMB ecosystem (e.g. software providers, einvoicing platforms, ISVs), bringing the best of ‘one Visa’.

· Client solutioning: work closely with market sales team on client pitches. Lead strategic client meetings, pitches and co-creation sessions, translating client needs into product requirements. Partner with Solutioning Team to deliver detailed technical design.

· Marketing & training: build the narrative, and own the go-to-market, collateral creation, marketing and education for the solutions within your remit, ensuring sales community is trained and equipped to sell.

· SME: Act as a deep subject matter expert for relevant SMB solutions, providing specialist knowledge and support on sales pitches, Visa product rules, operating risks, pricing etc.

· Market intelligence: Gather client and market intelligence to drive product optimisation and market readiness, and work closely with our global colleagues to ensure roadmaps are aligned to European client needs.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

- Experience working at an SMB software provider or ISV, e.g. einvoicing or accounting platform, ERP, accounts payables/receivables provider.

- Deep understanding of the SMB ecosystem and roles of parties within it (e.g. banks, FIs, accounting platforms, B2B players, einvoicing platforms).

- Strong knowledge of SMB products such as virtual cards, accounts payables/receivables solutions and APIs.

- Experience in product, proposition, solutioning or technology role relevant to SMBs.

- Excellent relationship-building skills and the credibility to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach.

- Self-direction and accountability.

- Good team player, good attitude towards cross functional working

- Fluency in English, with fluency in another European language viewed favourably.
