Mastercard Services provides cutting-edge data analysis and services to financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, and governments to make multimillion-dollar business decisions and grow their organizations.

The Director, Business Development is an active team member who contributes to sales targets and opportunity generation and closing with Mastercard Services clients across SEA. You will work with customers across the payments and financial services ecosystem, focusing on major banks across SEA. You will be responsible for designing high-impact solutions that drive portfolio performance, deepen customer engagement, and accelerate Mastercard's services revenue, building and strengthening relationships with C-1 executives including Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Technology / Chief Data and AI Officers, and Chief Strategy Officers.
Responsibilities
- Bring and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in major financial institutions across Southeast Asia, and uncover new opportunities for Mastercard
- Acts as advisor to and maintains ongoing relationships with client executives in partnership with account and country teams
- Understand client pain points and needs, and applicability of Mastercard solutions and platforms (e.g. Consulting, Marketing, Test & Learn, Dynamic Yield)
- Develop customized solutions using Mastercard's capabilities and proprietary data and platforms, in partnership with other specialist sales, business development and product teams
Experience
- Proven consulting experience at a top-rated firm or equivalent business management experience and internal consulting experience in a major financial institution
- Strong C-level relationships and experience in Financial Institutions across Southeast Asia
- Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred
- Professional level English language capability is required
- Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills, including the proven ability to interpret large amounts of data, some of it ambiguous, and translate it into concise rational output that includes recommendations based upon core findings.
- Strong presence & communication skills - both interpersonal & written
- Excellent client management & engagement management skills
- Proven team player with proven ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast paced environment
